The Plunge Bar
Located at 6324 Santa Monica Blvd in The Broadwater theater complex, The Plunge is a full service bar that is open to the public and offers a full line of wine, beer, and spirits.
Stop by before or after a performance-- or simply when you are in the neighborhood! Peruse a play from our theater library or commune with friends as you enjoy a signature cocktail-- The Plunge is a warm, inviting place to relax and celebrate theater, community, and history. We hope you can join us!
Hours: Mon-Thu 7pm-Midnight, Fri & Sat 5pm-2am, Sun 5pm-Mdnight
The Plunge is 21 and over only-- must show ID at the door. Drinks cannot be taken into the theater spaces.
A Moment with...

When Sacred Fools Theater moved into the Broadwater, we set out to preserve it as a lasting, welcoming environment for Los Angeles theater artists and patrons alike. One of the first steps in strengthening this sense of community was to build the Broadwater Plunge, where theater artists of all kinds can go to connect, work, and relax.
But as a playwright myself, it has always been my desire to specifically honor playwrights- those who have truly made a difference in my life, the theater world in which I live and work, and our society in general. And that is why we decided to start a tradition we like to call “A Moment with…,” a reception we throw in a playwright's honor where they sign the large metal beam that spans the room.
Why sign the beam? While retrofitting the bar, we were required to install the massive beam to help support the 100-year-old building in case of an earthquake, a large steel structure nicknamed a “moment frame” since it gives you time to exit the building. But we like to think that it provides us with a different type of “moment,” one in which we can, every so often, take pause and give thanks to a playwright who has changed our community with their art for the better— we hope you can join us for the next one!
